Keeping Track

Wow, the March meeting (March 11th, 1:30 at Seminole Sampler) is only 2 weeks away. Sooo, for those of you who need a little push, here's what's going on!

Pin Cushion Swap

Open to all members. Super simple: bring a pincushion that you've made, bring it in a brown paper bag (so no one can peek) and go home with a brand new pincushion! Need some inspiration? Look here or here.. Need some pin cushion tutorials? Look here. New members ~ please join us! Don't be shy!

Round Robin

Round Two due. 3" border with curves or circles (may be pieced or appliqued). Finished edge is straight.

Quilting Bee

First Quarter Bee blocks are due! Sign ups for second quarter happening right now on the forum. New members, please join us! This is lots of fun!

Logo Block Challenge

This one is due in April, but get a head start now! Open to all members! Create a 12.5" (12" finished) block which represents the Baltimore Modern Quilt Guild. This block will become our new logo, and be on our membership cards, blog, flickr page, etc! Visit the forum for more details.

March Meeting Demonstration

Laura is going to show us how to do wonky curves! She's asked that we bring our machines so we can try it out ourselves!

Lancaster Quilt Show Road Trip

Saturday, March 17th. The plan: meet at Seminole Sampler parking lot at 7 AM, drive to the show (about 2 hours) stay all day (or until the money and chocolate run out) then head back, arriving around 7 -8 PM. Sign up in the forum, or at the next meeting.

I think that's it! Let me know if I forgot anything!

  1. For the people who have signed up for the Lancaster quilt show, did you know you can buy your ticket online? You must buy it before Wednesday February 29th. It is $10 and you get $2 off if you are a member of AQS. Here is a link: http://www.americanquilter.com/books_supplies/item_detail.php?id=8751

    1. Should we do a group buy? (I don't think I'm a member)

  2. I'm excited - I plan to come to Sunday's meeting - I'm a newbie! =) I'll def. bring my machine. Can't wait to meet everyone and learn something new, too.
