November: Show, Tell, and Ask

This month Heather added "Ask" to our monthly Show and Tell ritual encouraging us to bring questions in when working on our projects.

Submissions included:
Riley Blake:  Several members shared their work created for the Riley Blake Challenge.  The challenge is on in Baltimore!   Carol created a set of placemats with bright zig zag quilting.  Ruthie designed a colorful pillow along with an adorable monster pouch from the leftover scraps.

Although the Jacquie Gering "Stitch and Flip" workshop was just a few weeks ago, we already have some completed projects!!  Deb shared her striking flames pillow and Pat shared her dragon quilt.

From Laura: A Quilt for her granddaughter - what a gorgeous front and back.

Mandie shared an awesome sewing basket she made and a beautiful quilt filled with blues and greens on a beige background.

Our guild president, Heather Kojan, shared with us her quilt design which is one of ten quilts showcased in a new book, Classic Modern Quilts: 10 Quilts Inspired by Historical Kansas City Star Blocks.  Heather's quilt uses her interpretation of a Kansas City Star block,  "A Striped Plain Quilt".  Congrats Heather!

More of Heather's great work, a quilt and the bag below.
