December Meeting Highlights

Our holiday swap was a great success! Each member contributed a bag of scraps, and received a sewing room item made with their own scraps.

We divided into groups for an improv quilting exercise -- each group was given a neutral charm pack and used scissors and imagination to create a quilt layout in 20 minutes.

The results looked amazing! Great job, everyone!

Show & share this month featured some beautiful work.

Shelli shared table runners that she made using curved piecing.

Rebecca showed off her finished quilt from our guild quilt-a-long based on Elizabeth Hartman's book Patchwork City

Rebecca's Quilt Design a Day challenge quilt -- completely hand quilted.

Kathy made this snowball quilt for her son, and used the leftover pieces to make a throw pillow.

Monica made this adorable pincushion and mini quilt.

Monica showed off this beautiful geometric quilt.

Kira's quilt, "United States of Trails," was inspired by her love of long-distance hiking.

Laura made two beautiful dresses for her daughter, and two paper pieced blocks.

Sarah K. made this quilt as a gift for a lucky newlywed couple, using a pattern by Carolyn Friedlander.
