Meeting Highlights -- August 14, 2016

We saw the first completed block for our QuiltCon charity quilt. Volunteers went home with fabric to complete the rest of the needed blocks.

Workshop by Jessica Skultety on August 20th

The Baltimore Modern Quilt Guild is thrilled to host a workshop by Jessica Skultety of Quilty Habit!

What:   Jessica will be teaching her Waterfall Quilt which combines Improvisational Piecing,  Bias Curve Piecing, and Intermediate Free Motion Quilting.  She will walk us through the techniques involved in piecing with bias curves, sewing pin less curves with a machine, color play, improvisational mind frame, brick-by-brick improvisation, and intermediate free motion quilting motifs and techniques.

When:  Saturday, August 20th, from 10:00am to 4:30pm, set up begins at 9:30 (includes a 30 minute lunch break)

Where:  Arbutus Branch of the Baltimore County Library in Meeting Room, 855 Sulphur Spring Road, Arbutus, MD 21227

Cost:  $70.00, limited to 20 participants.
