The July meeting was held at the Catonsville Library. There were 52 people that attended the meeting, which included several visitors. We had a few people sign up to join the guild, too! Mystery quilt clues were given out, and Quilt in a Box projects were exchanged.
Janet gave out door prizes for July birthdays. Janet also mentioned exploring a possible fabric challenge with Kathy Doughty fabrics from Free Spirit.
Rebecca Severt, Rose Daly and Linda Schiffer are organizing the Quiltcon Charity quilt. There was a sign-up sheet passed around if you would like to make a block.
At the August meeting, we will have a UFO idea discussion – bring an unfinished project and get advice on how to finish it. The meeting will be held at the Owings Mills library.
We had a fantastic trunk show and lecture from Kathy Doughty of Material Obsession (her blog: http://www.materialobsession.typepad.com/). Pictures are posted below.
