Allison, president, and Cassandra, programs, from the DC Modern guild made announcements:
They recently held a Comfort Cases charity packing day - backpacks with toiletries, pajamas, underwear, and a quilt were prepared for kids just entering the D.C. foster care system. There were 50 bags made at that meeting!
The guild will be holding their election of officers at the December meeting on the 8th in Arlington. That meeting will include a tutorial by Bets White on making a cherry pie ornament/pincushion.
