2018 Charity Quilt Challenge

Want to help a child in Baltimore with your quilting skills? Make a crib-sized quilt to be donated to Baltimore Early Headstart! The quilts are given directly to preschoolers in Baltimore along with a stack of free books, to create a "cozy corner" where they can snuggle up and read. Sounds great, right?

This year, the quilts will be collected at the August meeting and the challenge theme is stars! Follow your own inspiration or check out one of the great tutorials below. If stars aren't your thing, that's totally fine. All quilts are welcome.

Modern Cogs by Jen Van Orman - Free pattern at Moda Bakeshop
Two-Tone Star by Amanda Woodruff - Free pattern (printable) at Diary of a Quilter

July Star by Cluck Cluck Sew - free pattern here
Wonky Star by Wombat Quilts - free pattern here

Friendship Star by Emily Denis - free tutorial on Craftsy

Vintage Star quilt by Jeni Baker - purchase pattern here

Hope you found something to inspire your summer charity sewing!
